Google Spam Update for October 2023

On October 4th, there was a big update about spam. What’s that, you ask? It’s all about making search results better!

What’s New?

• The update will help find and remove spam better in many languages. This includes Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi, Chinese, and more.
• Some types of spam will be caught better now. This includes spam that hides itself, spam from hacked websites, auto-made spam, and copied spam.
• This won’t happen immediately. It’ll take a few weeks to see all the changes.

What If My Website Changes Because Of This?

If you notice that your website is affected, it’s a good idea to look at the rules about spam. There’s a helpful page on Google Search that explains more about these updates and what you should do.
